Costa Rica June 2017 - FULL
Costa Rica Highlight 1 from CCV Students on Vimeo.Password is "rica".
CCV is proud to be partnering with the Christian Light Foundation in Costa Rica. They have a large community development initiative that serves local Costa Ricans through churches, education, and camps all for the purpose of sharing the Gospel and making disciples in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Honduras. They have invited CCV to come visit and work along side their team! In 2017, we'll do some work with the kiddos doing VBS and construction projects and spending time with families in the community.
Trip Dates: June 5-13, 2017

Who can go?
This trip is ideal for anyone! Singles, couples, whole families! Adults over 18 must pass a Background Check/Volunteer Screening as a requirement, and all participants must have valid passport and be physically able to walk and hike. Minimum age for a child traveling WITH a parent/guardian should be 12. Please contact us before registering children under 12. For minors wanting to travel without a parent, please contact us before registering.
Team Meetings - The team will gather for team meetings to do logistical and project prep but also training on cross-cultural ministry and spiritual prep. SAVE THE DATES: All teams will meet on Saturday afternoons, April 8, April 22, May 13 and then your team will meet another time or two in between there for more specific training!
Requirements: Each participant who signs up will be asked to attend CCV's Starting Point class (if you haven't already been) and submit a full volunteer application with background check, references, and interview. This will be initiated after you have signed up for the trip and is not an "application" indicating whether you can attend or not. They are purely steps in the preparation process. Each team member will also be required to attend all pre-trip preparation meetings.
Trip Cost: $1800 per person
Included in this fee: Airfare from Phoenix to Costa Rica, accommodations, transportation and meals while in country. This also cover medical insurance, visa fee, luggage fees, and pre-trip materials.
Not included: Passport fees, any shots you elect to get, and any personal spending money for meals during travel and souvenirs.
$500 deposit per person is non-refundable at the time of registration. If a cancellation is made after airline tickets have been purchased you will be responsible for the cost of the ticket.
Final Balance is due by June 1, 2017.
We absolutely encourage fundraising. Very few people pay for the trip on their own. Number 1 way is to send support letters. Tell your friends and family about the trip, share with them the ministry, and ask them to donate. Number 2 way is to put in some hard work and do garage sales and car washes, get together with other team members to make a bigger impact. You will talk about this when you get together as a team. Any donations made to CCV for your trip are tax deductible for the donor as long as they follow the instructions and give online or use the Covenant Form!
